PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  2008 - present Associate Clinical Professor, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harlem, New York City.
  1994 - 2015 Staff physician for Gary Ostrow, D.O. P.C. specializing in preventive medicine and osteopathic diagnosis and treatment.
  1993 Staff physician, The Atkins Center in New York City. Primary responsibilities were new patient evaluation, ongoing treatment plans and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
  1993 Peer Reviewer for AHCPR Clinical Practice Guidelines on Low Back Pain.
  1992 Staff physician for Urgent Care.  Primary responsibilities were dealing with workman's compensation cases for uniformed city employees. Working in conjunction with a physical therapist, out-of-system referrals for specialists and MRI's were reduced over 50% during our tenure.
  1974-84 Danced with the Eleo Pomare Dance Company and others in New York City

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  1985 Research assistant to Drs. Charlotte Witmer and Eileen Hayes of Rutgers University and Medical School respectively; library and laboratory efforts directed towards HLTH-1 Grant report “Strategies for Studying the Impact of Multichemical Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals: Implications for Health Risk Assessment”
  1983 Independent study under the guidance of Drs, William Cohen and Richard Piccione at Hunter College using Transmission Electron Microscopy Techniques; presented a report titled "T.E.M. Study of Tellurium Uptake in Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells".
  1981 Laboratory assistant to Dr. D.K.Lavallee at Hunter College working on the synthesis of an iron porphyrin for use in mimicking the reactions of a cytochrome P-450 prosthetic group.
